As a music producer/director, vocalist and musician – I know the importance of data management and organization. I am more focused now on my overall data work these days. But at times, I do still indulge in my music production, video production and photography interests. Having an organized system for my audio, video and photo files have allowed me to juggle many things efficiently.
One tip – is to organize music, audio and video files into separate categories. Then further categorize by event, month date and simultaneously set up a alpha numeric catalog system that has meaning. Categorize and sub categorize by most active. Place the least active files in windows folders (containers) and zip/compress these containers, so as to reduce the amount of space that video, audio and photo files take up on your computers or server.
